They…

They keep on talking
When all I want to do is draw

They keep on laughing
But this is serious business

They keep on pounding
All the way inside my brain

They keep on staring
I can’t draw with so many people watching

They keep on hovering
Circling above my studio

They keep on pushing
All I know is I can never give in

The Comic Book Creator

I draw line after line
Looking for sign after sign
This is my comic book
The one that’s gonna shine

I sit in my chair
Alone in my make-believe lair
Paper, markers, pencils, and paints
I know nothing can compare

Yes you can draw blood and gore
If you really want to be a bore
Is that what people want?
Or are they looking for something more

I love the comic book
Especially the one’s with a hook
Hopefully mine is worthy
For someone to actually take a look

We need artists!
Life would be dull without them.

Who is gonna be the next Caravaggio for comic books?

Who is gonna paint with such grace and be the next Degas of comic books?

Who is gonna blow people’s minds and be the next Van Gogh of comic books?

And as a side note… we need awesome writers to step up aswell.  Any story that’s unique and different!

Comic Book Pages

I started a comic book a while back and here’s what some of it looks like.  I used pencil and photoshop.  Now after looking at the artwork tell me what you think of the style.  Why don’t more comic book creators simply use pencil?  I’m not saying inks and colors are a bad thing.  Comics are too rigid these days.  I walk into a book store and oh my god every comic is the same.  Where’s the variety?  Where’s the maple syrup and ham?  The apple cidder.  The books from far left field.  I go crazy trying to find the right books!!!

That being said… I still love comic books and I love making them.

Hero or Villian

Hero or Villian

I was lost in thought

When I was bought

I am just paper and staples

There is nothing to be taught

It’s the same old news

I hope they left some clues

Are we heros or villians?

Because people need to choose

I am just a book

For someone to look

Memories of the good times

That somone took

Happiness is…

There is this feeling, small and refreshing called happiness. It comes in many forms.
It doesn’t stay long. It belongs to us though. We try to use it and share it.

Happiness is singing along to a song.

Happiness is viewing artist’s paintings in a gallery.

Happiness is living around my loved ones.

Happiness is finding your other half and spending every waking moment together for the rest of your lives

Happiness is solitude.

Happiness is a cool breeze on a hot day.

Happiness is an old favorite coming on the radio.

Happiness is SNOOZE time!

Happiness is taking initiative and blazing a trail for others to follow, instead of being an unsatisfied follower

Happiness is accomplishing something you worked hard for.

Happiness is trying your best.

The Hand Job

The Hand Job

I work 12 hours a day

With a pencil leading the way

It’s not about the pay

I feel like all I can do is pray

The industry thinks it has light

But I have yet to see their might

All they have to do is what’s right

Instead of driving us into the night
