ARCHIE COMICS SIGNINGS FOR THE ART OF BETTY & VERONICA

New York, NY — Archie Comics, the most progressive and innovative comic book publisher in today’s market and home to some of the most recognizable pop culture characters in the world, are very excited to get the word out about The Art of Betty and Veronica. So much so, that in the coming weeks is not one or two, but THREE signings at three locations.

The book tour kicks off at Barnes & Noble in White Plains, NY as part of a book fair to help raise funds for the local White Plains Performing Arts Center. Archie Comics is happy to be a part of such a great event to support the local arts community and spread holiday cheer Archie-style with FREE sketches for all who purchase a copy. Co-editors Victor Gorelick (Archie Comics Editor-in-Chief/Co-President) and Craig Yoe (Eisner award-winning comic book historian) will be joined by Archie fan-favorite artists Dan Parent (Kevin Keller) and Fernando Ruiz (Life with Archie). A gift wrapping table will be available to assist with your holiday shopping.

Midtown Comics’ downtown location will host Gorelick and Yoe as part of their Midtown Comics Book Club with The Art of Betty and Veronica being featured as their book of the month. Those attending can purchase a copy for 25% off and have it signed after a panel discussion/Q&A with the book’s creators.

After the New Year, the foursome will be guests at The Strand for another panel discussion/Q&A at the famed bookstore. A purchase of the art book is your ticket in to the event which is sure to be a lively and informative walk through Archie’s 70-plus year history.

Be sure to make it to one of these events and add this beautifully designed hardcover art book to your collection which is destined to become a perennial favorite. #145 - Fanboy Buzz - I'll take a Han Double

Ethan Van Sciver rejoins us after a couple weeks of working non-stop just in time for Steve Boyd to share one Star Wars related story involving the D.E.A. that will never ever be topped. After this, we discuss Bazooka Joe Killing Comics, the new Man of Steel movie poster, and the 2015 Justice League movie is rumored to have Darkseid in it. For Steve’s Pick of the Week we chat about *gulp* My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic #1 and afterward we slide into Issue to Issue with Invincible 97, Flash 14 and Ultimate Comics Iron Man #2. During Nerd Rage we put Scarlet Spider (Kaine) into our Buzz Dome with Spider-Man (Peter Parker). Finally, we close out the podcast with a little first hand recollection of his history with Rob Granito PLUS we find out about how a young Ethan Van Sciver was tied up and taken away in an SUV while trying to break into comics. Call us at 239-244-2899 and leave us a voicemail or tweet @fanboybuzz.com!
