Publisher’s Blurb:
April O’Neil’s life has been turned upside down in the aftermath of meeting the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Rather than running from the choas, April decides to meet it head-on. Determined to make a difference, April starts to investigate suspicious circumstances at Stockgen Labs. What she finds will have serious repercussions for herself… and the Turtles!

Reviewer’s Comments:
This micro series keeps getting better and better and with this newest entry, things are gonna get even more interesting for the turtles and their friends. Issue seven of the series focuses on the lady in the group, April O’Neil!

Our story begins with a weird dream that April is having, which has me wondering if this sequence might be something that readers should keep in mind for future references or if it’s a nod to another female friend of the turtles? Hmmm….A day later, after dropping off her green friends at her place, April heads to work-at Stockgen Labs-her belief in the purity of science now gone after the myriad of events she witness have taken place. April wants to do more to help her friends and has a new resolve of doing so.

She goes head first into action which first results in recovering the item that Donnie had lost earlier in the series (you’ll have read Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro Series Donatello #3 to get more information on the item). However her actions have also resulted in the reveal of three failed Stockgen experiment contained in capsules, and one of them has awaken and eventually escapes. Who is the experiment? Well you’ll have to read this issue to find out!

From the start, I’ve been enjoying the main Turtle series as well as the micro series. Last month after reading the awesome sixth issue of the micro series-which feature Casey Jones-I wondered if they would do a book on April. The result is an excellent story by the awesome Barbara Randall Kesel. I had an opportunity to meet her at this year’s MegaCon as she was the moderator for the Womanthology panel that I was a part of (check out her story in Womanthology: Heroic entitled Glimmer). The art is also excellent, Marley Zarcone does a great job.

This issue is another superb addition to the micro series. I can’t wait to see what happens next as this series has got me on the edge of my seat!
