On the topic of WHORE: If an object is altered in any way from how it was originally intended to be experienced, then the object has been censored.

It is understandable that a store owner would impress his sensibilities on a product he wishes to sell, but it makes no sense to try to convince yourself you are not censoring it.

Censorship is not a bad word and it can be useful sometimes. It sometimes allow a quiet minority to find equal standing among other more dominant groups. Like minorities and discriminatory language.

Censorship or suppression of such language invites a minority group to speak in a safe environment where they may express themselves. Allowing complete freedom may take away these groups ability to feel safe and speak out for themselves.

But boarding an ad to hide its cover is a form of censorship. In the liberal mindset, it is considered acceptable because of the cover's content.

J.S. - it's censorship, but no one considers you a fascist for doing it. You are just a conscientious store employee trying to make the store an environment friendly towards everyone.

It's the same consideration as making a smoking section in a restaurant. Your store is doing the right thing.
