Publisher’s Blurb:
Everything has been leading to this issue— the nail-biting conclusion to the Turtles’ first fight with the Foot! Overwhelmed, outnumbered, injured, and running on fumes, the TMNT family is in for the battle of their lives. Will everyone survive? The end to the first year of IDW Turtles finishes big! Don’t miss it!
Reviewer’s Comments:
Our band of green brothers are back with a vengeance as they and their friends-new and old-get ready to rescue Master Splinter in this new issue and let’s just say there’s a lot of butt kicking going on!
The turtles along with Casey, and the Purple Dragons locate where the Foot Clan and their leader the Shredder await. Meanwhile Splinter is on his last reserves of energy and Oroku Saki is about to land the killing blow when “CRASH!” a foot ninja comes through the window knocking out old metal mouth as the ninja turtles make their grand entrance!
Without giving away any more details, a huge brawl ensues, turtle (and Casey) against foot ninja. Ralph gets a rematch with the fox, while Leonardo gets a rematch with the mysterious ninja from the rooftop who had kicked Leo’s butt. Do the turtles, Casey, and Splinter get out alive? You’ll have to read this issue to find out!
Meanwhile on the other side of town, General Krang is again expressing his disappointment in Baxter Stockman’s failures-Stockman refers to them as ‘minor setbacks.” After their discussion someone gets disposed of. Who? I’m not gonna tell you that!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Man do I love this series! It’s excellent and I love the twists and turns that mix in well with all the classic stuff. The writing is great and so is the artwork. Eastman, Waltz, Duncan, and Pattison did a wonderful job.
