Publisher’s Blurb:
The city of love continues to prove its love of bullets, as the Bionic Woman and her new friend Nora come face-to-gun-barrel with the Mission’s nastiest “acquisition agents,” after these men are sent to forcibly collect Jaime’s bionics and sell them to the highest bidder. Can La Femme Bionic stay alive long enough to get out of Paris? Will the hunted become the hunter? And what word is it that the boys from the Mission are wishing they would have NEVER called her?
Reviewer’s Comments:
The second issue of The Bionic Woman is excellent! It’s full of high speed action as though it came straight out of a movie or a TV show. It’s an awesome story to read and a great way to continue on from the first issue.
Readers are quickly drawn into the story as the first panel shows a bullet extremely close to Jamie’s forehead and the next panel shows her throwing up a table to block it. There is an amazing, explosive energy that Tobin-with his writing-and Carvalho-with his artwork-bring to create this story. The action doesn’t skip a beat as Jamie attempts to find and then defeat the bad guys on every page. Whether it’s her leaping through a window, or throwing the bad guys out of one, Jamie is a character that readers can’t get enough of.
Sometimes, the second issue of a series doesn’t have that oomph that the first issue had that drew in readers. It’s safe to say that this issue will grab readers and keep them. I throughly enjoyed this issue and I look forward to what this series has in store for The Bionic Woman.
