Reviewer’s Comments:
Cloudhopper #1 follows the story of a man who has a little too much to drink, falls off of a building and apparently lands on… a cloud.

Well that’s certainly a new premise for a comic book.

The main character in the story, Danny, finds it just as hard to believe as you do. After a hard night of drinking he wakes up and is shocked to find out he’s literally on top of a cloud.

What do you do when you find yourself on top of a cloud? Well really, there’s not much you can do. Danny does a little exploring and realizes he’ still got his cell phone on him. Just call for help, right? Easier said than done. Who’s going to believe you’re literally on top of a cloud? What are you going to do when the battery on your phone dies?

One thing leads to another and Danny is forced to make a leap from his cloud to another and soon realizes that some clouds just won’t support his weight.

But wait, what’s that? Life on clouds? Surely he must be seeing things, right? Is that a castle??? Find out in this insanely interesting concept that Geoff Sebesta has made into a comic book.

The art fluctuates in this book and presents it’s own unique appeal that compliments this unrealistic, crazy scenario that surrounds the lead character. Almost a water color style is used in this story and it works well with the world we’re introduced to.

After the first eighty-four pages in this coffe table style comic book, I’m looking forward to reading the next installment, Cloudhopper #2.
