Okay. Good podcast. I just wanted to point out a few things: The reason why the family brought David home was because the father was in the robotics industry. The company wanted an environment that would simulate that of a ‘real boy’ and they, with their biological child in stasis (because of a disease, not a car accident), bring the child into their home.

The first part of the film is about David connecting with the family, and the family connecting back. The second part is about David experiencing the world (the idea, I think, is for him to experience negativity to contrast the positivity of being with the family). The last is about his journey.

The mother leaves the robot in the forest because he was going to be dismantled. She left him with money and a “chance” rather than marching him off to death.

    Good podcast. Keep it up!

Also… it’s “Flesh Fair” rather than “Skin Fair”
