Thank you Stephen for the mention at the end of the podcast. I didn’t mean to exclude you or Steven Boyd on my list of accolades. I find your support of sucky comics very entertaining and Steve Boyd’s Pick of the week is very cool as well. This week’s coverage of Ultimate Fallout was really good and I have been on the fence to pursue any interest in the new Ultimates line. One note though, the new Spiderman is of two ethnicities not necessarily races. Hispanics are people from the island Hispanola (Dominican Republic and Haiti). On the island, there are people of the three races – white, black and asian (native american islander) and mixtures of each and all of the races. Had Marvel wanted to really make this kid bi-racial then they should have chosen a real mixed background for him. It seems that they only meant to grab a quick ethnic interest and should have just said he is black.
Speaking of hispanic spider-people, it is a shame Arajna has returned in this ridiculous guise of Spider-Girl. The previous character was interesting and it would have been more intriguing to see how the writers would have fixed all the plot holes born in that story.

I am going to be brief today and leave you with only a suggestion. With the FBB crew’s interest in digital distribution and in the internet as the next step in comic evolution, you should make a steady segment of touring the internet for the comic work being displayed and promoted on the internet. Items like Girl Genius come to mind, but with the variety of free online material, it would be cool to hear your take on what is out there.

Good show. I will probably drop a couple more comments in the days ahead. later

Hey Joe – thanks for the kind words yet again! I’m glad you’re enjoying our show, and as for my race/ethnicities faux pas, I consider myself duly schooled, sir. :) Keep on listening!

    Hello Steve,
Is this the best way to leave my comments, or should they be emailed so everyone of the crew can see them.

I am with Steve and Jason, this new Ghost Rider stands a chance at being a great movie, it has the directors of Crank, a better look to the Ghost Rider and a meaner take on the character. It only has to survive Nick Cage. Sorry Jason, after National Treasure I and II, he definitely went the way of Family Action. He is no longer the badass he was in Con Air.
